About UUMS
A school with a heart, born in Detroit
Founded in 1979 by Rev. Ruth Mosley as a five-year pilot program, UUMS graduated its first class — "The Detroit Eight" — in 1982. Since then roughly 200 students have studied here, and practically all of them have become licensed and ordained Unity ministers.
Courses are largely asynchronous, with some Zoom gatherings, so you can study around the life you already have. Our emphasis on urban ministry skills is what sets UUMS apart from other paths into Unity ministry.
